Microsoft's Windows 10 operating system has finally surpassed the company's Windows 7 OS to become the most used operating system in France. This was revealed by Florent Pelissier, Product Marketing Manager for Microsoft France, on Twitter.

Pelissier cited web analytics firm StatCounter's data for the June 2015 - July 2016 period. The data reveals that Windows 10 now has nearly 30% market share in the European country.
This comes just a few weeks after the Redmond, Washington-based company announced that over 350 million devices are now running Windows 10, which was launched last July. The next major update to the OS - dubbed Windows 10 Anniversary Update - will be outed on August 2.
