Why some NFC mobile phones cannot read bus cards
Simply put, a complete NFC product should include three parts: NFC hardware, unified system interface support, App. This structure is no different from Bluetooth products and WiFi products, except that NFC is mostly used in the payment field, so its App is best equipped with a payment interface.
In these three parts, there are different solutions, and the mutual compatibility of each company is different, especially the hardware part.
The hardware part of NFC is not complicated and consists of three parts: CLF (non-connected front-end module), radio frequency antenna, and SE (security area). For just reading bus cards and recharging money, CLF+antenna is enough; if you also want to make the mobile app into an electronic bus card (supporting over-the-air card issuance and over-the-air transfer), then the SE part is also needed.
The card reading compatibility issue mentioned earlier lies in CLF’s NFC chip. At present, the mainstream mobile phone NFC chip suppliers in China include NXP, Broadcom, MediaTek, and Samsung Electronics. NXP ranks first in the industry, followed by Broadcom, followed by MediaTek and Samsung Electronics. Among them, Samsung Electronics mainly produces Note 4. on the machine model.
Each chip company will have its own implementation of the NFC public standard. For example, some are more compatible with older standards, some use different methods within the standard, and so on. If the card cannot be read, it can basically be confirmed that it is a compatibility issue caused by different implementation methods between different chips.
The system interface does not make any difference between card reading and recharging Therefore, whether this bus card can support online recharge depends on the operating capabilities of the local bus system. For example, Beijing already supports it, but it can only be recharged in its "eLechong Bus Card" app (Alipay also needs to be activated). Go to the app to complete the recharge)
As far as we know, there are still few cities in China that have opened online recharge of bus cards, so you may only use NFC to read the card, or get some NFC stickers. The film is also good, but you have to pay attention to choosing one with better compatibility so that it can be used after the mobile phone is upgraded.
