Honor just sent out invites for an Indian event July 24 when the company is expected to announce a new phone. According to recent reports, the handset in question is going to be the freshly released Honor 9i.

The phone is expected to be called Honor 9X in India, but should bring no other changes. It should come with a 5.84-inch LCD with a notch and 1080 x 2280 pixel resolution, Kirin 659 SoC paired with 4GB of RAM and up to 128GB of expandable storage.
The cameras on the back are 13MP main sensor + 2MP one for depth sensing while on the front, the device sports a 16MP unit with big 2.0µm pixels. The phone is powered by a 3,000 mAh battery and runs on Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box with EMUI 8.0 overlay.

The launch price of the Honor 9i in China was CNY 1,399 ($218), which is roughly INR 14,500, but we are yet to see if the 9X will match it.
